S is for SinatraAnd other crooners tooBringing the sounds of the seasonWith a jazzy beat to youAlthough I'm a rocker at heart, there are those singers from my parents' generation that have also played a huge part in my musical influence. Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Tony Bennett are definitely at the top of my list. As you continue you make your rounds today, I thought I'd give you some of the more traditional sounds of the season to fill your day.
Merry Jazzy Christmas!
Jazz for Christmas! What a great gift! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI keep waiting for Aerosmith to come out with a Christmas Rock Album.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'll have to keep waiting.

I've got room for this. These are classics. Ella in particular. Hey, Quirks, if Bob Dylan can put out a Christmas album, Aerosmith can. How about St Nick Looks Like A Lady?
ReplyDeleteBING!!! The Irish Sinatra! My mother's favorite and now a Christmas time staple around my house! ("Christmas in Killarney" getting the most rotation!)
ReplyDeleteMerriness, Margo!
I think the folks on the east coast will be singing that first one or cursing it by now.
ReplyDeleteFabulous Christmas classics
ReplyDeleteI just ain't Christmas without some Bing Crosby! Thanks Lady!
ReplyDeleteBeing a jazz guy myself, I loved this. Don't forget Mel Torme and Harry Connick, Jr.! They're wonderful also.
