From The Mountains, To The Prairies.....
It's President's Day and I have decided to celebrate the day with an activity which is rich in tradition and full of glory. An activity which every red-blooded one of you should move on to show your patriotism and that you are doing your part to stimulate our economy which, if you don't mind me saying, is in the crapper.
SHOPPING!!!!
Yes, that's right, shopping! Hurry, revisit your Sunday paper and scan the Internet for the sales of a lifetime. Don't let this opportunity pass you by. So, put on your walking shoes, grab your wallet and hit the streets to stroll the malls. Do what's right for America, ladies and gentlemen, go shopping! Your country will thank you.

LMAO! It's sales like the day after Thanksgiving!
ReplyDelete@ Lee - Better yet!
ReplyDelete@MeMe HA! You are doing your part to help the sagging economy, eh?
ReplyDeleteGood work!
@ Quirky - Yeah, I'm hitting Victoria's Secret today to get some help for my sagging boobs. Gravity is definitely over rated!
ReplyDeleteWell if it's for my country....
ReplyDeleteAlas, No shopping for me. Not in what I laughing refer to as "the budget." I will be enjoying another round of beat-the- check-to-the-bank, however. Have fun!
ReplyDelete@ Mrsblogalot - Atta girl!
ReplyDelete@ Jayne - Good news, the banks are closed today which gives you an extra day!
oooo shopping...UK has a big sale after christmas called 'Boxing Day'. Is it something like that?
ReplyDelete@ Lazy Pineapple - Any holiday, where employees are paid to stay home, the retail stores tend to take full advantage by offering great sales. Today is no exception.
ReplyDeleteSo you Americans are celebrating your Presidents? No wonder your economy's in ruins. You're always taking days off!
ReplyDeletewhere do you shop for dead presidents, and what would you get them?
ReplyDeleteI love shopping. I need to go shopping. Shopping needs me....*sigh*
ReplyDeleteJealous!
Love the days off but not getting paid for them sucks! Buy some good stuff so we can envy your mad shopping skills! (((HUGS)))
ReplyDeleteI am so taking your advice! I am going shopping!
ReplyDeletesigh. A woman after my own heart...
ReplyDelete:-)
I did my shopping online since I'm snowed in again.
ReplyDeleteNo shopping for me today... I had to go to work. Oh well... at least that appears to be much safer for me than staying home.
ReplyDeleteNo shopping, still paying off all the Christmas shopping bills. You couldn't get me in a mall this soon after the holiday season, I'm still having nightmares. But have fun doing your patriotic duty!
ReplyDeleteI detest shopping unless someone else is buying stuff for me. Like a gift... Naw, think I'll just hang around and admire Michelle Obama's arms.
ReplyDeleteI hate shopping!! Poor presidents, dedicated their lives to this country and we reward them with sales on sheets! LOL
ReplyDeleteThat's right - good for you, you solid citizen patriot! Get out there and stimulate the economy! Let us all hear the call to cash and plastic - SHOP!
ReplyDeleteMarvin D Wilson
Yeah. Me-Me said so. That's good enough for me.
ReplyDeleteShoes. Shoes. Shoes.
Now I know why I didn't get any mail today.
ReplyDeleteDid you say shopping? Why didn't you tell me you were going shopping, I would have called in sick and gone with you :)
ReplyDeleteThis is the traditional white sale day isn't it? Are you buying sheets and towels too? You are such a patriot!
ReplyDeleteI went shopping today! I put a bicycle on layaway for spring! YAY! Did my part for the economy!
ReplyDeleteMust have my clothing fix. Must feed my closet. But, alas, I worked today. When I arrived home, I heard my closet's stomach growling.
ReplyDeleteI think it's hilarious that we honor our presidents by putting furniture on sale. What an honor!
ReplyDeleteI hate shopping, yes I am not normal, not sure if it is the people ...no pretty sure it's the people.
ReplyDeletebtw we took stuff
Shoot - I tuned into this a day late - BUT, I went to not one, not two, but three grocery stores yesterday! That should count! :)
ReplyDeleteWould you or the country just accept a raincheck in the meantime?
ReplyDeleteFabulous tradition how did you think of it!?! What better reason to shop than a holiday sale? We have to support this sad economy in it's time of need right?
