I'm Alive.....

Hello?

Is this my blog?

It looks kind of familiar.

Yep, I believe this is the place.

Greetings one and all. Thank you so much for all your well wishes during the past week. I gotta tell ya, I would not wish this flu on anyone. Well, maybe on an ex-husband or two, but not on any of you.

I did not go to the doctor. I decided to treat myself, it's just the flu after all. I sent a friend to the herbal/natural foods shop to find every remedy she could to knock this crap out of me. Click on this photo and take a close look. Along with what remedies I already had (do expiration dates really matter?), this is how my side table has looked for the past week. Trust me, I have tried every combination imaginable. In fact, I think I may have hallucinated a time or two. Now, if I can just figure out which combination brought on the colors. Weeeeeeee.

Aside from the fever-coughing-sneezing-body-aching flu symptoms, I have determined a new mattress is definitely in order. Good grief, I think I have flipped it 3 times just trying to find the right side and the right end to make myself comfortable. And blankets. At one time I had five blankets piled-up on me. Maybe if I hadn't been watching the Olympics I wouldn't have been so frickin' cold. Brrrrrrrr.

Did I mention no appetite? I haven't weighed myself, but by the way my pajama pants are fitting, this flu has caused me to drop at least 10 pounds. Yippee, I have finally dropped the last of that baby weight I've been carrying around for the past 33 years. There is a god!

Okay, I think it's time to return to the land of la-la. I just wanted you all to know that I am alive and feeling better. Thank you again for stopping in and checking on me. I hope to see you again tomorrow.

  9. Hey there, glad you're feeling better again!

Hmmm... you discovered the Flu Diet, aye? I've been on that one before. It's a crappy way to lose weight, but as long as you're happy. :-)

I enlarged the picture of your remedies and saw that the spoon looked like it had just been used, recently. I could see the sticky- licky marks on it. Eeegads! LOL

  11. Good to have you back. I was having withdrawal symptoms!

No, expiration dates only mean the drugs full power is diminished. I think the rule is to 'Double the dosage for every six months past the date.'
(I just made that up! Sounds official though, doesn't it?)

    Welcome back.

  13. I felt bad for you. I'm so glad you're feeling better and back blogging. The collection of boxes and bottles on your table looks like an exhibit I once saw at the Guggenheim.

  14. You should have never doubted my, my beloved creation. And while I'm excited that you have found your faith, I do not approve of this sort of method for losing weight. Congrats on losing the 10 pounds, that's nice, bet you look great in your jeans (well actually I KNOW you do, I see and know everything, of course), but I'd much prefer you stay healthy and avoid those nasty germs.

Just a suggestion. Still love you, always will, regardless of however far you stray from the fold.

  15. I had a real bad flu in November. I think that it may have been H1N1. I had a 102 fever for 4 days.

I hope that you are getting well!
