I'm Headed For The Big House

This post is a part of the HBDC Anti-Injustice Campaign series

Yes, ladies and gentleman, I'm bound for the big house. The big house? Yep, the house of correction - the slammer - the black hole - jail!

Why? Because I won't be able to pay the tax for the insurance the government will mandate if ObamaCare passes the Senate. I could be gone for awhile - up to a year, plus I may have pay a hefty fine.

Injustice!

I've written a little song to better explain my cries for justice. Please, sing along.

Jail-O
(sung to Dayo)

Jail-O
Jail-ail-ail-O
Health care come and she goin' away

Jail, I say
Jail, I say
Jail, I say
Jail-ail-ail-O
Health care come and she goin' away

Come Ms. Pelosi please gimme a break
(Health care come and she goin' away)
I'll pay for my own doctor when my belly ache
(Health care come and she goin' away)

I work all day and they tax my pay
(Health care come and she goin' away)
With no insurance they'll take me away
(Health care come and she goin' away)

6 months, 7 months, 12 months BANG!
(Health care come and she goin' away)
I'll be workin' on Obama's chain gang
(Health care come and she goin' away)

Jail-O
Jail-ail-ail-O
Health care come and she goin' away

Jail, I say
Jail, I say
Jail, I say
Jail-ail-ail-O
Health care come and she goin' away

  2. I'm not a fan of the federal insurance either....but, I'm curious.
Why are you so against it? I would love to hear the reasons! (I do a blog "Cynical Musings of a Military Wife" and I just did a post on why military health care sucks...)

  3. You could have worked an entire 'insurance coverage for vasectomy' verse in here AND used the 'tally me banana' line as well.

Just a tip for next time.

  5. Sweet. I actually like that song too. Looks like you'll be sharing a lot of breathing space with fellow "law breakers" when it comes to the taxes that will hit us all.

  6. Hey, maybe I could sing that for 15 minutes and save money on my insurance. Oh, wrong insurance. Great song.

  7. You could try to immigrate to Canada. We have universal, taxpayer-funded basic health insurance. And the majority (although, unfortunately, not 100%) of what the U.S. health insurance companies are saying about our health insurance are scare tactics that are utter nonsense and pure fabrications.

  8. Very clever woman. I love the song. I think you should record it, I'm sure the conservative radio stations would love to play it.

  9. You will pay for health care on way or another...either to the fed or right to the insurance company & hospitals, so I guess I don't really understand why you are so against national health care. Is it just because it's Obama's plan or the idea of national health care in general.

  13. Hey! Now you're singing MY song, Margo! Let me get out my guitar, we'll gather round the campfire and sing protest songs until we get arrested. I'll be DAMNED if the government ever FORCES me to buy ANYTHING.

  15. Being forced to by insurance. I was all for the universal health thing until I realize that it was going to be a forced issue and we were going to have to pay for something. LOL To good to be true. Good song!
